Night bike ride in Lviv. My experience

Hi everyone!

I wanted to tell you about my last bike ride. The pain in my muscles and feeling of happiness remind me about that gorgeous night :)

I should say that the decision to spend the night in such way and with this person was spontaneously but I always dreamed to arrange bike rides. So it was the first time I rode a bike in Lviv, at night and saddled cruiser.

So at about 6 pm I got out of my house and went to the center of Lviv. I bought a cup of latte and headed for the bike rent point. By the way initially I found the service at their site, here it is - http://veliki.ua/en.html .

Fortunately the guy who kept this point (or worked at it) had two very girlish bikes. The prices for rent and conditions suited me. But I couldn't decide whether to spend my time like this or not. Additionally I wasn't sure about the girl with who we decided to spend our time.

As it turned out all my fears were vain because that night and girl were awesome!)

Going back to story... initially we headed for the park because it was Friday and a lot of people were at the center of Lviv. And we were afraid of running into somebody. Especially we were afraid of running kids because they were ungovernable and their parents seemed to be going to give a birth to new ones.

So we headed for Stryiskyi Park (panorama) and were riding there. But you know it was a little bit hard because sometimes we faced this Park was full of hills (like the whole Lviv). And we pushed our bikes upward. We were sweated and our faced were already red. :) Therefore we arranged a picnic. There were blueberries, peaches, plums, bananas and wholegrain biscuits. It can be said it was healthy snack.

Then annoying mosquitoes started biting us so we decided to leave that place. Although it was very picturesque glade.

We moved to the city centre. On our way we got lost a few times :)

There were a lot of drunk Poles and they came to us a few times. One of them got lost and at about 4 am we were explaining him how to get to his hostel via google maps. A couple of Poles (of course drunk) asked for a lighter and started hugging us. It was awkward and funny :)

When it almost dawned, we were sitting on a bench and having coffee. By the way for all night each of us consumed for about 5 cups of coffee and I think it's a lot. But we survived. So we were sitting right near town hall (everyone in Lviv knows this building) and a guy came to us and just started talking like we had known each other for ages!)) Since we're a little tired and didn't know where to ride, we pretended to listen to him and that it was interesting for us).

You know, my friend and me have been grown in the places where we got used to trust nobody. So we were strained and expected for some shit (sorry but it's true)). But people here, in Lviv are different. That guy went away and we even thought to ride somewhere for that moment. But he came back with beer for 3 of us. We were very surprised. And nobody of us drink beer but his gesture was cool. I even took a photo with this guy :)

When it finally dawned we went to another park which was near the city center. It was Ivan Franko Park (maps). It was of course empty what was better for us!) We took a ton of photos.

Then we started realizing that we're falling asleep!) So we decided to have some coffee. The thing is that most of restaurants are closed from 11 pm till 7 or even 8 am. So after googling we found McDonald's which works 24 hours and headed there.

When we arrived there it was closed and only McDrive worked. As we were drivers, we ordered meals there :) I don't eat junk food or so and was not sure if it was something to eat for me or not. But fortunately they had oatmeal with dried fruits and cream and it was really tasty. Also I ordered coffee with milk. My friend also ordered white coffee and some breakfast roll with veggies and meat I guess.

Coffee really emboldened us so that we could go farther. After a ton of taken photos of course :)

Till the 8 am I guess we arrived to the bike rent point because we were completely tired and didn't know where else to go. Our trip and adventures finished like this. I want to say that Lviv is absolutely different at night, maybe like other cities. But we really fancied it. It worth it. Me and my friend felt young and crazy. Such events make us young and happy. Because you know.. there are so much duties, responsibilities and so on .. that you forget about yourself.

Hope you liked my story. Make fun and be young!

P.S. I can help you if you don't know how ;)
